Gaslighting

Gaslighting in relationships is a manipulative tactic where one individual seeks to dominate and control another by altering their perception of reality.

When used repeatedly, gaslighting can lead victims to question their own memories, judgment, and even sanity.

As a result, the perpetrator’s influence and authority grow stronger, while the victim becomes increasingly reliant on the abuser and less inclined to leave the relationship.

This form of manipulation is often subtle yet contradictory, creating a cycle of confusion, frustration, and helplessness for the victim.
